VXRAIL and POWERSTORE

Two Different Approaches to Modernizing your Data Center

Stick with the old, or in with the new? This is a big dilemma facing IT folks today as they grapple with the decision to either stick with a traditional, three-tier architecture or migrate to a more automated solution with hyper-converged infrastructure. And as with most things in life, the answer is: it depends.

So before we get to the wine and wagyu, we’ll walk you through the factors and criteria that are important to consider when making this decision for your business. We’ll also walk you through two of the industry-leading solutions for supporting each architecture - Dell’s VxRail and PowerStore platforms - so that you have a good foundation for making this decision when the time arises for your business.

THE WAGYU

BBQ with Boterman

For this event, we’ll be joined by grille-master extraordinaire, Andy Boterman, who will be instructing everyone on how to prepare the perfect cut of wagyu beef over this interactive cooking class. Andy began his business, BBQ with Boterman, as a way to inspire people to cook outside of their comfort zone, by encouraging them to try new methods and recipes for preparing meat.

The wagyu for this event will be regionally sourced from Snake River Farms, and sent to everyone prior to the event. In addition to the meat, Andy recommends you come prepared with the following ingredients and equipment, optional but recommended for achieving maximum wagyu wizardry:

Optional Ingredients:

  • Butter

  • Grapeseed Oil

  • 2 Springs Roesmary

  • 3 Springs Thyme

  • 2 Whole Garlic Cloves

  • Kosher Salt

  • Coarse Black Peppe

Optional Equipment:

  • Instant Read Thermometer

  • Cast Iron Pan

THE WINE

Hope Family Wines

No meat left behind. That’s our motto in pairing this delectable cut of beef with the fruits of one of our favorite west coast vintners; Hope Family Wines.

We’ll be joined by Hope Family’s Senior Wine Advisor, Tara LaPrade, who will be walking us through a tasting of two excellent Hope Family wines that pair perfectly with our main dish - both bottles of which we will be shipping to everyone prior to the event.

To register for the event, please simply include the requested information below (including your shipping address), and we’ll send you a confirmation, as well as a calendar invite along with a Zoom link for the event.
